This brief is one in a series, in which we revisit each of the design principles to ensure continued relevance to quality educator preparation and provide additional information on each based on the literature. In this brief we highlight the design principle titled: Inclusive Instruction, as defined by BranchED. We believe inclusive instruction minimizes or removes barriers to learning or assessment and supports the success of all learners, while ensuring that academic standards are not diminished.
